Join us on November 28th for the 44th annual Thanksgiving Day Race to the top of the park before you sit down for the big holiday meal.

This race starts at 9:00 AM near the Iroquois Amphitheater, goes up to the top of the park, then back down the hill.

Each Entrant will receive a top-quality long sleeve shirt and an entry into drawings for up to $1,000 in prizes. The first 1,000 entrants will also receive a medal for their participation.

*Prizes will be awarded 10:30am at DJ Booth (must be present to win)

Entry Fees

$30 early sign up. Online, postmarked, or in-person before October 15th. Register by this date and pick up early to guarantee shirt size.  We cannot guarantee shirt size on race day packet pickup.

$35 after Oct 15th. Online, posted marked, or in-person before Nov 15th.

$40 after Nov 15th . Online or in-person to start of race.

Race day registration ends at 8:30 AM, 30 minutes prior to race start.

Packet Pickup

Early Packet Pickup will be held on November 26 and 27 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Swag’s Sport Shoes south end location.

Race Day Packet Pickup will be available November 28th from 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM. Early packet pickup is highly encouraged.

Costume Contest

Put your creativity to work and wear a costume. Turkeys, unicorns, pies and ugly sweaters welcome. Grand prize $50.

Pets

Pets are allowed on the race course. For safety purposes, all pets must be leashed and runners with pets must start at the back of the runners and stay on the right side of the road.

There is limited parking available in the Iroquois Amphitheater Lot during the event. Please do not drive or park on grass areas in Iroquois Park.

Description

Join us on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 8am, for our first ever Just For The Health Of It 5k run/walk at Memorial Park. This event is for all ages of runners and walkers! Feel free to compete to win the 500.00 prize if you are the 1st person across the finish line or walk the course at your own pace. Each person who crosses the finish line will be entered to win a 100.00 Wal-Mart gift card. All proceeds of this race will benefit the Marshall County Health Coalition and the workgroups that serve underneath it. All participants will receive a t-shirt (if registered by May 10), and all finishers will receive a custom finisher medal.

Highlight

Prize: Compete to be the first person across the finish line and win the grand prize of $500. If walking is more your speed, each participant has the chance to win a $100 Wal-Mart gift card through a random drawing.

Charity Beneficiary: All proceeds from this event will go to support the Marshall County Health Coalition and its various workgroups, contributing to community health initiatives.

Participant Incentives: Every registered participant will receive a commemorative event t-shirt (if registered by May 10). Additionally, all finishers will be awarded a custom finisher medal to mark their accomplishment.

Packet Pickup: Get your race packet on race morning starting at 6:30 am. For added convenience, early packet pickups will take place on Thursday, May 30, from 1 pm to 4 pm, and Friday, May 31, from 8 am to 11 am.

Students (K-12): $20

Our goal is to raise awareness for the most vulnerable children in our community and use this opportunity to pay tribute to our local heroes who protect our community. Light the Night 5K: Superhero Walk/Run will act as a celebration for these hometown heroes! Working together, we can reach our goal of providing every child victim in Hardin County and LaRue County with a CASA volunteer advocate and hope for a better future.

Help us slay the giants of hunger and poverty by running or sponsoring the Giant Slayer 5K!

Whether you’re in it to compete or just to get outside, your registration fee will benefit Children’s Relief International’s infant nutrition program. The program serves babies and toddlers who are severely malnourished at CRI’s projects worldwide. $300 is all it takes to provide nutrition to a baby for a year. Learn more here

Pre-registration includes a race t-shirt. Register by March 1, 2024 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Age Based Discounts

  • Discounts are automatically calculated during registration.

  • Children 9 and under are free (t-shirt can be purchased).

  • Ages 10-15 run for $10.

5K/Fun Run

Our course loops through the Forest Giants at Bernheim Forest in Clermont, KY. Racers can access chip-timed results after the event. The course is a mix of pavement, gravel paths, and foot bridges. The Fun Run is 1.3 miles. Or run your own course for our virtual runners! 

Course routes are subject to change in instances of inclement weather at Bernheim's discretion.

Check-In / Same-day Registration: 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Run / Walk Start Time: 3:30 p.m.

This is an untimed, non-competitive run/walk. Choose from a 3.7-mile, 2.9-mile, or 1.3-mile course – and don’t forget to tap the bell and ring in the new year as you cross the finish line!

The FIRST 300 to register in ADVANCE get the 100% embroidered, collectible, event patch!

All registrations include…

  • A food station with soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, hot cocoa, and a wide variety of snacks.

  • A ticket for the prize drawing, which will have TONS of great prizes!

  • Hundreds of free photos for you to download after the event.

  • A large fire to keep you warm while waiting for the start and enjoying food after you finish.

Special note for leisurely walkers: Please be aware that all courses close at 5 p.m. and the food station will shut down shortly after that.

Dogs are not encouraged but are permitted. They must be on a leash of 6' or less at all times, and we ask that you begin the run/walk at the back of the group.

We are once again ready to welcome a new year in style! Start 2024 off right by getting your exercise on! Join us for the New Year's Day Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk on Monday, January 1, 2024 beginning at 9am at the Elizabethtown Sports Park (Covered pavilion, super runner-friendly course, and HEATED bathrooms)! Proceeds from this race benefit all the great community work of the Elizabethtown Lions Club

All runners will receive a finishers medal and a race long-sleeve t-shirt (to be guaranteed a shirt on race day participants must register by December 18, 2023)

Get all dressed up in your pajamas or your New Year’s Outfit and shine like the rockstar we know you are! We'll give out prizes to our best-dressed Male and Female participants, along with the Most Spirited Runner and the Oldest Runner, and the Top 3 Male/ Female finishers. All runners will be presented with a finisher medal to celebrate the new year!

Now all you need to do is grab your friends, mark your calendar, and get registered to start 2024 off right!

Kids 9 and under run for free. However, there is no t-shirt or medal option. If you prefer, you can sign your child up using the paid registration link.

A new entry to the Bedford race series, this event will help sponsor Bertha’s Mission, which will helps feed those in need throughout the community. The course starts at the Bedford Square, and will wind through the northern part of the city and ends at The Downtown Depo!

The 5th annual Oldham County Parks and Recreation Earth Day 5K Trail Run/Walk at the Morgan Conservation Park is on April 20th. The 5K course will take you on the wooded nature trails of the Morgan Conservation Park. The course will challenge you with serveral hills and 4 stream crossings. Awards will be given in a variety of age groups for the runners.

Day of Registration and Packet pick-up begins at 7:00 a.m.

Race begins at 8:00 a.m.

Chip timed

Awards ceremony will begin after the last finisher or at 9:00 a.m.

The course is rocky, dirt covered, hilly and has stream crossings.
