The inaugural Race to Cure Sarcoma, Louisville began as a dream of a small group of sarcoma survivors from our community. Thanks to an extraordinarily talented group of our many friends and families, the race has become a reality. 

Now put on your running/walking shoes and enjoy an early morning with the animals at the Louisville Zoo as we raise awareness and financial resources for sarcoma research!

WHAT:
5K Run, Family Fun Walk and Silent Auction too!

  • Please Note: Due to time constraints, the 5K is for runners and fast walkers. Others are welcome to participate in the 1-mile Family Fun Walk portion of the event. All participants will have 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete the course.

  • Not a runner or walker? No problem! You can join us at the Zoo on race morning by registering as a RTCS Supporter.

The Louisville Zoo - 1100 Trevilian Way, Louisville, KY 40213

  • The course is a slightly rolling 5K on walking paths that will take you past many of your favorite animals and exhibits

WHEN:
August 17, 2019 
Check-in and Onsite Registration: 7:00am-7:45am

  • Please arrive by 7:00am if you have not pre-registered.

  • Race Day registration will be Check or Credit/Debit Card only.

  • There is a bit of a walk from where you park your car to the starting line. Please allow extra time for this on event morning.

  • A golf cart will be available to assist anyone with impaired mobility to get from registration to the race event area.

Run/Walk: Starts at 8:00am and the course is open until 9:15am

Stay after the race to celebrate with our sarcoma survivors, enjoy refreshments, hear the announcements of our race winners and make your bids at our exciting Silent Auction!

Adults: $35
Children ages 3-11: $15
Children under 3: FREE
Service animals are always welcome, but non-service dogs and pets are not allowed at this event.

  • Price includes all appropriate Kentucky sales tax.

  • Pre-registered participants will receive a t-shirt, free parking & admission to the zoo for the entire day!
